Soil Permeability with SoilX66

Updated: Mar 10

Permeability, the process through which water flows through soil while maintaining moisture in the micropores, is improved using SoilX66. Permeable soils resist run-off and prevent agricultural chemicals from contaminating rivers, causing environmental damage.

In the lab, permeability was measured by passing water through a column of the air-dried <0.25 mm fraction of a silt loam. The drained water was collected and measured for 30 minutes. SoilX66 more than doubled permeability at 0.3% concentration, as the figure shows.

Thanks for taking a look!
